IEJ works regionally, especially in Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa, to advance a transition to renewable energy that reduces energy poverty, localises manufacturing, and centres social ownership. In South Africa, we focus on crisis recovery, access to affordable energy, and promoting democratic public energy systems.
