Intern | Rethinking Economics
Luthando is a Rethinking Economics for Africa (REFA) intern with the IEJ. Since 2022 he has been an active member of REFA network through the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) student chapter, MandelaUni REFA. During his time at NMU he served as the chapter’s treasurer, vice chairperson, and chairperson. He is a proud graduate of NMU’s Social Consciousness and Sustainable Futures course and the Flourishing as a Global Digital Citizen course. Luthando holds a Diploma in Economics and is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Economics. He is an activist and a member of the 2025 cohort of the Fort Hare Activist School supported by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
