Evelyn Makanda is the IEJ’s Executive Assistant and supports the Executive Director and other Leadership Team members. Evelyn is  a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience across varied sectors. She excels at enabling executives to focus on high-impact decisions while ensuring organisational alignment. Evelyn has a proven track record in the NGO sector, providing C-Suite support, strategic project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

In terms of education, Evelyn holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management and Leadership
