Koketso Masenya

CARE ECONOMIES JUNIOR RESEARCHER

Koketso Masenya is a Junior Researcher in Care Economies at the Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ). Her research interests are feminist economic politics, reproductive justice, and gender-responsive development. She has conducted research on women’s political participation in South Africa in collaboration with the Commission for Gender Equality and has supported projects on gender-based violence and social policy. Prior to joining the IEJ, Koketso worked in George Washington University’s Office of Advocacy and Support as an Advocacy Support Assistant for students affected by intimate partner violence and sexual violence. Koketso holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a concentration in Global Gender Policy from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Race & Ethnic Studies and Political Science from Whitman College.
